CSA Releases Central Contract; Miller, Rassie Under Separate Category

This evening, CSA unveiled the list of South Africa players with a central contract for the 2025-26 season. The board has offered contracts to 18 South African players to represent the national side across formats between 1st June 2025 and 31st May 2026.

There are several familiar faces- Temba Bavuma, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, while promising prospects like Kwena Maphaka, Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs have also been rewarded for their recent exploits in national jersey.

Meanwhile, David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen have opted for flexible contracts. Both these players have bagged a hybrid contract, and they will participate in specific agreed-upon bilateral tours and ICC events.

Director of National Teams and High Performance Enoch Nkwe congratulated the players, saying,

“All of these players have been contracted with the importance of the next World Test Championship cycle and the 2027 Cricket World Cup on home soil in mind.
"The hybrid contracts take into consideration the dynamic nature of modern-day cricket and will provide David and Rassie with the opportunity to contribute to the team during specific bilateral tours and ICC events.”

On the other hand, prominent names like Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi and Andile Phehlukwayo have not been included in the list due to inconsistency and injury concerns.
