Kolkata Knight Riders led by Ajinkya Rahane are all set to take on Lucknow Super Giants on April 8 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In the last home game, they dished out a slow track that had help for the spinners and than helped them beat SRH by 80 runs.

Which Pitch Will Be Used For KKR vs LSG IPL 2025 Match?

They would have hoped for the same pitch against LSG at Eden Gardens, however, it has been now been reported by RevSportz that it will not be the used surface, and instead a pitch number four will be used for the game. According to IPL guidelines, a seven-day gap is required for the same pitch to be reused again, and also playing a game on a used pitch in intense hit is risky.

However, the pitch is not expected to be an absolute belter, and there is some turn expected. Thus, there would be some help for the spinners for both the sides, but not much as KKR would have hoped for. Thus, it is expected to be a balanced wicket where both batters and bowlers would have to apply themselves.

KKR, LSG Aim To Continue Winning Run

The score of around 180 could be defendable on this pitch, and with both teams having two wins and two losses under their belt, they would be itching to get another win. KKR have spinners like Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy and Moeen Ali at their disposal while LSG have Ravi Bishnoi and Digvesh Rathi. 

Both the teams have quality batters in their arsenal though, and with it being the first day game at Eden Gardens this season, let's see how things pan out.
