The application process for India's head coach ended on May 27 and speculation is rife about who will lead the team after Rahul Dravid's tenure concludes following the T20 World Cup 2024.

Adding to the intrigue, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly posted an intriguing message on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, "Choose the coach and institution wisely."

Reports have suggested that Gautam Gambhir could be the next head coach, though Jay Shah has dismissed claims that any former Australian cricketers have been approached. Ashish Nehra is also speculated to be in contention for the role.

Ganguly's tweet emphasized the importance of selecting the right coach:

Here's what he wrote:

"The coach's significance in one's life, their guidance, and relentless training shape the future of any person, both on and off the field. So choose the coach and institution wisely…"

Rahul Dravid has served as the head coach of Team India since December 2021. Under his leadership, India reached the semi-final of the T20 World Cup in 2022, the final of the World Test Championship in 2023, and the final of the ODI World Cup in 2023.
