We Need To Win Three More Times - Gambhir On His Plans For KKR In Upcoming IPL Seasons

Gautam Gambhir, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor, following the triumph over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), has come out and expressed his desire to beat Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) and Mumbai Indians' (MI) tally of the IPL title.
On Sunday, KKR became the third most successful IPL franchise after clinching their third trophy after 2012 and 2014. Just days later, Gambhir came out and said that they are still two trophies away and the job had just started.
"If you ask me, then I think we are still two trophies away from MI and CSK. Today, I am really happy that we won our third title but the hunger to become the most successful IPL franchise, that we are not, we need to win three more times and need to work incredibly hard for it."
"There will be no greater pleasure than making KKR the best-ever IPL franchise. The journey has just started," said Gambhir.
Gambhir, as a player and the captain had also previously led KKR to the two titles in 2012 and 2014 before joining them this season and helping them win their third. Notably, in 2012 he had also broken CSK's streak of winning back-to-back IPLs, preventing them from making it a hattrick.
