'Chinna Thala' Suresh Raina To Lead VVIP UP In Inaugural IVPL Season

The Indian Veteran Premier League (IVPL) has been making waves in the cricketing world, especially with the announcement that former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Suresh Raina will lead the VVIP UP team in the inaugural season. Raina's inclusion in the IVPL has sparked excitement among fans and players alike, as the veteran cricketer brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the tournament.

The Board for Veteran Cricket in India has come together to host a reunion kind of tournament for retired cricket veterans. The Indian Veteran Premier League will host its inaugural season in Dehradun from February 23 to March 3. 

VVIP Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Legends, Red Carpet Delhi, Chhattisgarh Warriors, Telangana Tigers, and Mumbai Champions will lock horns with one another in a 10-day tournament. 

Meanwhile, ahead of the maiden season, VVIP UP has roped in former Indian cricketer and CSK superstar batter Suresh Raina to lead the side.  Raina, fondly known as "Mr. IPL," has been given an opportunity to return back to his roots at UP in a unique league.

Not only that, but Raina will compete alongside Sehwag, Munaf Patel, Suresh Raina, Rajat Bhatia, Chris Gayle, Praveen Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Herschelle Gibbs, and many more in this upcoming new initiative.

Meanwhile, Suresh Raina issued an official statement after his appointment and expressed gratitude for the responsibility. 

"Hello everyone. I'm Suresh Raina and I'm super thrilled to be part of the Indian Veteran Premier League, I will be playing for Team VVIP Uttar Pradesh. This is the chance to play with veteran cricketers once again," said Raina in a statement.

As a seasoned campaigner, Raina's presence in the IVPL is expected to elevate the competition. His vast experience in T20 cricket, coupled with his aggressive batting style and sharp fielding, makes him a formidable force on the field and a valuable asset for VVIP UP.
