As we are all aware the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is set to unfold in two phases. Ahead of its commencement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the schedule for the first 21 matches due to the impending Lok Sabha Elections.
Following this, the BCCI announced the schedule for the second phase of IPL 2024 on March 25, ensuring the entire tournament takes place in India despite the upcoming elections. The iconic Chepauk Stadium is set to host the final of IPL 2024.
Chennai Super Kings IPL Schedule 2024 Phase 2
That being said, the second phase of IPL 2024 is set to commence on April 8th at the Chepauk Stadium, featuring a clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). CSK, led by new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad , aims to maintain their strong performance on the field, especially with speculation surrounding MS Dhoni's potential final season with the team.
The 2024 season is anticipated to mark Dhoni's farewell from CSK, adding emotional significance to the matches ahead. Nonetheless, CSK is determined to end the season on a high note, regardless of Dhoni's future plans.
After the initial match against KKR, CSK will head to the Wankhede Stadium for a showdown against their long-standing rivals, Mumbai Indians (MI), on April 14th.
CSK is scheduled to play a total of 10 matches in the second phase, evenly split between home and away games.
