Team India has arrived in England for their upcoming five-match Test series, which starts on June 20 at Headingley in Leeds. This series is the beginning of a new chapter for Indian cricket, as young star Shubman Gill will be leading the team as captain for the first time in Tests, following the retirements of legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
To give fans a peek into the journey, the BCCI shared a fun video on social media showing the team’s travel from Mumbai to the UK.

In the video, players were seen having chats with fans, joking with photographers, and having a good laugh with each other. The mood seemed light and cheerful, showing a happy and confident team atmosphere.
One of the funny highlights was Jasprit Bumrah teasing a teammate for wearing sunglasses at night. Though it wasn’t confirmed, fans think it was probably Shubman Gill, as he was spotted wearing shades more than once.

The Test series against England is a big one, not just because of the fresh leadership, but also because it marks the start of the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle for 2025–27. The first match of the series will begin on June 20 at Headingley in Leeds.
The second Test will take place at Edgbaston in Birmingham from July 2, followed by the third Test at the iconic Lord’s in London starting July 10.
After a nine-day break, the fourth Test will be played at Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23. The series will come to an end with the fifth and final Test at Kennington Oval in London, beginning on August 7.
