The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been one of the most exciting cricket tournaments since it began in 2008. Every year, we’ve seen some brilliant individual performances, especially in the finals where the pressure is at its peak.
This year, in the 2025 IPL final, Krunal Pandya played a huge role in helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) win their first-ever IPL title after 18 long years. The final was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3, where RCB defeated Punjab Kings.
RCB batted first and scored 190 runs. It was anyone’s game, but Krunal turned things around with his smart bowling, taking 2 wickets for just 17 runs in his 4 overs. Because of this match-winning effort, he was named Player of the Match.
With the 2025 title win, Krunal has now also won four IPL finals, putting him in a very elite group of players with multiple titles.
Let’s now take a look at all the players who won the Player of the Match award in IPL finals from 2008 to 2025:

Krunal Pandya Makes History In IPL
Interestingly, Krunal Pandya made history by becoming the first player ever to win the Player of the Match award in two IPL finals. He had previously won the award in the 2017 final when he was playing for Mumbai Indians.
Back then, his 47 runs off 38 balls helped MI beat Rising Pune Supergiants by just 1 run in a nail-biting finish in Hyderabad.
