Tuesday night was unforgettable for cricket fans, especially those cheering for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). After years of waiting, RCB finally lifted their first-ever IPL trophy, beating Punjab Kings by 6 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium. It ended an 18-year-long wait for the team and its loyal fans.

Virat Kohli was overjoyed. As the final over ended, he couldn’t hold back his emotions and was seen with tears in his eyes. It was a moment he had dreamed of for almost two decades.

Virat Kohli’s Emotional Message For Anushka Sharma

While the players celebrated on the field, Kohli’s biggest supporter, his wife Anushka Sharma, was equally proud and emotional. The Bollywood actress, who has been by Kohli’s side through all the highs and lows, looked absolutely radiant with happiness. Fans on the internet couldn’t stop gushing over her support and strength throughout the years.

Soon after the win, Virat shared a heartfelt post on Instagram dedicated to Anushka. He called her his “Bangalore girl” and reflected on their shared journey, the ups and downs, and how this win meant just as much to her.

His post read: "I’ve seen it for 18 years and she’s seen it for 11. Suffered the same moments since 2014 and celebrated every close win and the madness of our supporters at the Chinnaswamy. We’re both equally relieved and since shes a bangalore girl too this is far more special for her. Together all the way through @anushkasharma."

The post quickly went viral, with fans praising the couple’s bond and Anushka’s unwavering support.

Even, during the post-match presentation, Kohli thanked Anushka publicly. He said,

"Professionally you understand the amount of things that go behind the scenes and what they go through as well. What Anushka has gone through emotionally; watching me being down and out, her coming to games, being so connected to Bengaluru. She is a Bengaluru girl as well and being connected to RCB. She is going to be so-so proud."

Virat and Anushka got married in 2017 after years of dating. They now have two children, Vamika, who is four, and Akaay, who is 15 months old.
