Jos Buttler Likely To Join DSG For SA20 2026
Former England captain Jos Buttler has been reportedly roped in by the Durban Super Giants (DSG) franchise for the next edition of SA20 season later this year. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter previously represented the Paarl Royals franchise in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the tournament in South Africa. As reported by clubcricket.co.za, the DSG franchise has also signed spin wizards Sunil Narine (West Indies) and Noor Ahmad (Afghanistan) for SA20.

Oman Captain Flees To USA Over Unpaid Dues
The Oman cricket team is undergoing a massive financial crisis. As per reports, Oman cricket players are yet to receive their dues of USD 225,000, prompting captain Kashyap Prajapati to even leave the country in pursuit of employment in the United States.
Moreover, contracts of several Oman players have been reportedly cancelled by the Oman Cricket Board, leaving players with no means of income or legal status. Captain Prajapati expressed his frustrations over the matter, and has urged the ICC to make sure all Oman players are paid the prize money they have earned.
Sophie Ecclestone Takes A Break Before India Series, Confirms Coach
England Women’s head coach Charlotte Edwards has confirmed that star spinner Sophie Ecclestone will be taking a break from competitive cricket for a while, in a bid to attain full recovery from her knee injury. Edwards claimed that Ecclestone has been “managing a quad niggle” over the past few days, which prompted the English team management to drop the 26-year-old from the ongoing home white-ball series against West Indies.
Edwards also added that Ecclestone will likely return to action in time for England’s upcoming home fixtures against India Women.
McMullen Surpasses Kapil Dev For All-Round Record
Scotland fast bowler Brandon McMullen picked up match-winning figures of 3-40 against Netherlands in Dundee. Through the course of his spell, the cricketer completed 50 ODI wickets, thus becoming the second fastest player in history to aggregate at least 50 wickets and score over 1,000 runs in the format. McMullen achieved the feat in his 33rd match to go past Indian and Australian World Cup winning captains Kapil Dev and Steve Waugh (46 matches each). The 25-year-old now only sits behind Netherlands’ Ryan Ten Doeschate for the unique all-rounder’s record.
Shubman Gill And Co. Land In England For Test Series
Indian captain Shubman Gill along with the rest of his national teammates landed in England on June 7 for the upcoming five-match Test series against the hosts. In a video shared by the BCCI, senior fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah can even be seen trolling the newly-appointed captain for his “appearance” during the night time at the airport.
Team India will face England in a five-match Test series, with the first Test scheduled to be hosted by the Headingley in Leeds between June 20 and June 24.
