In a significant development around SA20, England star Jos Buttler is reported to shift his base from Paarl Royals To Durban's Super Giants for the upcoming edition. Notably, the Royals star batter represented Paarl from 2023-24 and was a key figure in the team.

However, a report from ClubCricket mentioned that DSG are making active recruitment for the fourth edition of South Africa's premier T20 league, and Buttler remains their top-target. The right-handed batter has played two seasons for Paarl Royals and amassed 799 runs in 22 matches, which includes seven fifty-plus scores.

RR Release A Possible Reason Behind Buttler's Decision

Ahead of IPL 2025, Jos Buttler dealt a heavy blow as Rajasthan Royals released him ahead of the mega-auction, which led to him leaving the inaugural champions after seven years (2018-2024). It might have impacted Jos, which could have prompted him to end his association with the Royals in SA20 as well.

Talking about his time with Rajasthan Royals, Buttler scored 3055 runs in 82 innings, which includes seven centuries. Thus, him getting released ahead of IPL 2025 was a shocker for the fans.

Sunil Narine, Noor Ahmad To Also Join Durban's Super Giants

Not just Jos Buttler, but Durban Super Giants are also reported to have roped in Sunil Narine, Noor Ahmad to their side for the upcoming edition. Noor was already with the Super Giants, but the club is said to have resigned him for another year. He was also their leading wicket-taker in the previous season.

Meanwhile, Narine, who is a KKR legend, will make his debut in SA20 when he features for the Super Giants in 2026. Notably, The fourth season of the competition will start on 26 December 2025, earlier than the usual January window.
