In a major shocker coming from UP's Muzaffarnagar district, it has been reported that the boy who saved Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's life has consumed poison with his girlfriend. The incident is said to have occurred on February 9th after the families of the two individuals opposed their marriage.

Rishabh Pant's Saviour Rajat's Condition Critical

The massive news that is making headlines is coming from the Buchha Basti village in Muzaffarpur, where Rajat Kumar, the same boy who saved Rishabh Pant after his near-fatal car accident back in December 2022, is now said to be battling for his life after ingesting poison with his girlfriend, Manu Kashyap.

The more heartbreaking news is that Manu could not survive the poison, whereas Rajat's condition is critical as he is battling for his life at a hospital in Jhabrera, Uttarakhand.

Going more into the details, the families of both Rajat and Manu decided to marry them elsewhere, considering their caste differences, which caused the couple to take this bold step.

Additionally, 21-year-old Manu's mother has spoken against Rajat, asserting that he must have forced her daughter to consume the poison. Therefore, the girl's family has filed a case at the Purkazi police station in Muzaffarnagar, where they have complained against Rajat.

The doctor at Pragya Hospital, Dr Dinesh Tripathi, has indicated that they consumed a powerful pesticide. So, they immediately began treatment, but unfortunately, Manu's family took her to some other hospital, whereas Rajat is still under their care.

Who Is Rajat Kumar?

Going back to the year 2022, 25-year-old Rajat Kumar, with Nishu Kumar, rescued a wrecked Mercedes car on the early morning of December 30th on a highway near Roorkee.

The duo then helped Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant by pulling him out of the vehicle, putting out the fire, and calling for emergency medical services to shift him to the hospital as soon as possible. Thanks to their efforts, Pant survived a deadly accident. This proved highly crucial as Pant made a swift recovery and returned to cricket back in 2024.
