Indian women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur is all set to be quizzed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chairman Roger Binny and Head of Cricket VVS Laxman about her recent misconduct in Bangladesh.

Kaur displayed unruly behaviour after getting out in the final One-Day International and then proceeded to criticise the umpiring while standing on stage with the Bangladesh captain along with the trophy. As quoted by Indian Express, BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Thursday confirmed the same in New Delhi.

Here's what Shah said

“Roger Binny and Laxman will question Harmanpreet on her outbursts during the third ODI against Bangladesh”

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has already banned Kaur from two international matches, which the Indian captain has accepted, and will not challenge the decision.

Several former players like Diana Edulji, Mithali Raj, and Anjum Chopra have lashed out at Kaur for her public outburst on the Bangladesh tour, calling it unacceptable behaviour.

As a result of the ICC's ban, Kaur will miss India's first two games in the upcoming Asian Game 2023 in Hangzhou

Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana will take over Kaur's duties for the quarterfinal if India qualifies then the semi-final match as well.
