Bangladesh Cricket Board has opted to shift the final ODI of the upcoming three-match series against India from Dhaka to Chattogram.

The change has been made in consideration of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party's rally that is planned on December 10, the day that will also see India lock horns with the Tigers in the third ODI of the nearing series.

BCB operations chief Jalal Yunus made the announcement:

"Chittagong was originally scheduled to host one Test. We felt there should be an ODI at the venue too."

However, the New Age has reported that ODI was moved out of Dhaka due to the protest threat looming over the city.

India's first tour of Bangladesh since 2015

India last toured Bangladesh in 2015 for a one-off Test and three ODI fixtures. While the red-ball tie ended in a draw, the MS Dhoni-led unit lost the ODI series by the margin of 2-1.

This time around, three ODIs and two Tests are scheduled with the white-ball matches planned on December 4, December 7, and December 10. The Test series kicks off on December 14.
