The Trent Rockets bowlers had a dream start, defending a tricky 156 on the board. Against a strong opposition batters, including Dani Wyatt, Smriti Mandhana and Maia Bouchier, the Rockets needed a dream start, and Alexa Stonehouse provided just that.

She got rid off Wyatt and Bouchier in quick successions to jolt the brave in the early going. Wyatt and Mandhana have formed a prolific partnership at the top, and Stonehouse broke that partnership early in the innings.

She started the carnage with the wicket of Dani Wyatt, who was dismissed for a one-ball duck. The English superstar went for a heave and gets a top-edge, which was safely taken by the keeper.

However, the best was yet to come as she bowled a perfect in-swinging delivery to knock over Bouchier. She bowled it on a length, and it nipped back in just enough to take the stumps. Bouchier goes for a slog and gets beaten all ends up.

Talking about the innings, Mandhana fought for a while, but even she failed to deliver under pressure and was dismissed for a 27-ball 42.

The Indian opener also inflicted a brilliant run-out early in the first innings to dismiss Bryony Smith.
