Former Australian cricketer Shaun Tait is set to replace Andre Adams as the new fast bowling coach of the Bangladesh men’s national team. As quoted in the BCB press release, Tait expressed his excitement in getting involved with Bangladesh cricket, stating that the team has some great “young talent with the fast bowlers”.
He also added that he is looking forward to working with Bangladesh’s head coach Phil Simmons.
While the BCB confirmed that Shaun Tait will be joining the team this month, it remains to be seen if the 42-year-old will assume his role for this week’s white-ball series in the UAE or during the next week’s away assignment against Pakistan.
Nonetheless, Shaun Tait was also appointed as the bowling coach of the Karachi Kings franchise earlier this year for the PSL 2025 season. The speedster has coaching experience in the form of several top franchise T20 leagues like PSL, LPL, BPL, Big Bash League and English County cricket.
