In a significant development, Bangladesh have named a formidable 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Led by Shakib Al Hasan, the squad is an amalgamation of experience and youth. 

Bangladesh's batting looks rock-solid, studded with flamboyant batters like Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim and Afif Hossain. Young batter Towhid Hridoy, who recently grabbed a million eyeballs through some sensational knocks, has also found a place in the team. 

The Tigers' bowling department also seems sorted, as the presence of Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam and Ebadot Hossain, alongside the experienced Mustafizur Rahman, makes them a team to beat in the competition. 

Furthermore, they have two top-tier all-rounders in Shakib and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who can rattle any kind of lineup in spin-friendly conditions. 

Left-handed batter Mohammad Naim has also made it into the final fifteen, with off-spinner Mahedi Hasan and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed set to spearhead the spin department alongside Shakib and Miraz.
