Pakistan batting veteran Babar Azam caught up with a young fan at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium shortly after a training session. The former Pakistan fan met the fan in question while making his way outside the boundary. Demonstrating his humble side, Babar Azam met and greeted the specially-abled fan, who was accompanied by his relatives.

The legendary Pakistan batter is currently plying his trade for the Stallions team in the Champions One-Day 2024 season in Faisalabad.

On Monday, September 16, Babar Azam met a seemingly anxious fan at the Iqbal Stadium amidst a training session for the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 season.

In a heartwarming video captured and shared on social media accounts, Babar can be seen meeting and greeting the fan, and he also posed for some pictures towards the end of his friendly interaction.


Babar Azam has so far gathered 121 runs from two innings in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup 2024 season at an average of 60.50. He punched out a match-winning 76 in the second match of the tournament against the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Aamer Jamal. He belted nine boundaries in his 79-ball knock, and helped Stallions mount 336-5 in the game.

The legendary right-handed batter also struck a fluent 45 off 44 balls against Mohammad Rizwan’s Markhors in the very next match on September 15. Babar listed eight boundaries in his fiery knock, which included five in succession off a single Shahnawaz Dahani over.

Babar Azam is currently gearing up to face a Saud Shakeel-led Dolphins team in match number seven of the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 season. The much-awaited contest will be played on September 19.
