The upcoming 19th edition of the Asian Games, scheduled to commence on September 19, 2023, is gearing up to be a thrilling showcase of sportsmanship and talent. With a diverse array of 40 sports and an impressive 61 disciplines, it promises to be a sporting extravaganza like no other.

The men's cricket event is set to unfold in the dynamic T20 format, spanning from September 27 to October 8. Meanwhile, the women's cricket competition will captivate audiences from September 19 to 25, also in the exhilarating T20 format. All eyes will be on the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field, the chosen battleground for these cricketing clashes.


Men’s cricket at Asian Games:

In the men's cricket competition, these 14 formidable teams will engage in a total of 17 matches, all vying for glory from September 28 to October 7 at Asian Games 2023.

The participating nations in the men's cricket event at this grand sporting spectacle are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mongolia, Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the hosts, China. 

Intriguingly, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have already secured their spots in the quarter-finals, where they will face off against four additional teams emerging from the first round. The seedings are determined by the ICC T20I Rankings as of June 1, 2023, ensuring a fair and competitive tournament.

Reflecting on past achievements, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Japan claimed gold, silver, and bronze medals at Incheon, while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan were triumphant in the men's competition.

In the men's category, a formidable lineup of nations will vie for glory, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mongolia, Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, Hong Kong and Thailand. 

As for the women's category, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka clinched the top honours, while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh stood atop the podium in the men's event.


Women’s cricket at Asian Games:

In the 19th edition of the Asian Games, women's cricket will take center stage, promising an exciting clash of skills and determination from September 19 to September 28.

Nine formidable women's cricket teams will participate in this prestigious tournament hosted by Hangzhou 2023. These teams are China, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. 

Notably, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have secured direct entry into the quarter-finals due to their impressive rankings in the ICC women’s T20I standings. However, the remaining 10 teams will fiercely compete for the remaining four coveted spots in the quarter-finals.
