The NRMA Insurance Men's Ashes Series 2025-26 is all set to be played between the top-ranked Test teams, Australia and England, in the 'Downunder'. The 5-match Test series will get underway between 21 November 2025 and 8 January 2026.
Australia are the holder of the Ashes, having won in 2021–22 and drawn in 2023. The much-awaited series will be part of the ongoing 2025–2027 ICC World Test Championship. With crucial points on the line, the bilateral series is even more intense.

Ashes 2025-26 latest news: England captain optimistic
As of now, the first Test in Perth fuels an unmatched optimism as the injury status of Pat Cummins (back) and Josh Hazlewood (hamstring) makes them unavailable for the Australian side. At the same time, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood are set to bring a remarkable force with Perth offering bounce and pace.
Ben Stokes is hopeful to return as one of the few England captains with an Ashes series win on the Australian soil. "I've come here absolutely desperate to get home on that plane in January as one of the lucky few captains from England who have come here and been successful," Stokes told the media in Perth.
The England captain said this is the chance for his side to create history in Australia.
