St. Kitts And Nevis Patriots, the 2021 CPL champions have announced the replacement of two star Sri Lankan players, Wanindu Hasaranga and Nuwan Thushara. Both of them injured themselves during India's tour of Sri Lanka and are now ruled out of the entire CPL 2024 which will start on August 29.

The South African duo of Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi will replace them and, the franchise would be hoping that the duo shows the same form they displayed during the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean few months back.

Maiden CPL Stint For Anrich Nortje

This will be Anrich Nortje's first CPL appearance while Tabraiz Shamsi has an impressive record in the CPL and has taken 33 wickets for SNP in 27 appearances. The wrist spinner is likely to play an important role again with conditions expected to assist spinners right throughout the tournament.

Guyana Warriors are the reigning champions while St. Kitts and Nevis after the highs of the 2021 season, have encountered two ordinary seasons which they would like to rectify in this upcoming edition.

Along with Nortje and Shamsi, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots also have two other South African power-hitters in their ranks in the form of Rilee Rossouw and Tristan Stubbs, and have quality local talent which surely makes them a team to watch out for.
