After making one of the greatest comebacks ever, numerous reports suggest that Rishabh Pant is set to leave Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

On Saturday, the cricket world was stunned as Aussie legend Ricky Ponting announced his departure from the DC franchise. This significant change has led to the understanding that Rishabh Pant, who shared a close bond with Ponting, is also set to leave the franchise.

Rishabh Pant to leave Delhi Capitals?

The T20 World winner, who was appointed DC's captain in 2021 following Shreyas Iyer's departure, demonstrated his excellent leadership qualities during his two-year tenure. His unfortunate accident forced him to miss the IPL 2023 season, but he didn't let it dampen his spirits.

Rishabh Pant focused on his fitness and recuperation, and his determination and resilience were evident when he returned to lead the team in IPL 2024. His leadership was instrumental as he amassed 446 runs from 13 innings, and DC finished in the fifth spot.

Rumours also suggest that the wicket-keeper batter might shine even brighter next season as he is likely to move to Chennai Super Kings.

Although there is no official confirmation, it remains an intriguing topic: Would he stay with the Delhi-based franchise or move to any other franchise?
