There aren't many crossovers between sports that are remembered quite that often; however, Kuldeep Yadav's sheer love and admiration for legendary footballer Lionel Messi go above and beyond.

The Indian spinner has repeatedly expressed his high regard for Messi and his adoration for him as a professional player. 

A viral video is turning heads over the internet, especially now that Argentina has clinched their second consecutive Copa America title by defeating Columbia. The resurfaced video shows Kuldeep Yadav kissing and embracing Messi's Argentina jersey during Team India's bus parade in Mumbai following their much-awaited T20 World Cup 2024 victory at Barbados.

Not just this, before receiving the trophy during the medal ceremony, Kuldeep was videographed teaching Indian skipper Rohit Sharma the iconic Messi walk to do while lifting the trophy. 

However, Rohit added his flair to it with his spiced-up walk. Talking about this incident, here's what Kuldeep told NDTV in an interview:

'He wanted to try something and I told him to do it like Lionel Messi, what he did in the Fifa World Cup. So, I told him to do that but it did not turn up that way. It was actually very good and even PM Modi went through that video.'

Talking about Kuldeep's recent T20 WC outing, he was a crucial wicket-taker for the Men In Blue. In a fantastic display of his class as a top bowler, he came in during the West Indies leg of the tournament and picked up ten wickets in a short span of just five games.
