Suresh Raina was one of the finest finishers during his peak and played a big role in India's victorious 2011 World Cup campaign. He was recently in the news for his subtle dig at Shahid Afridi when he commented that he is not Shahid Afridi to take back his retirement, and since then, journalists from Pakistan and other social media influencers from the country have been trying to target the former Indian cricketer.

Now, a sports writer and reporter at Dawn News tried to incite Suresh Raina by informing him that Shahid Afridi has been named as the ambassador for ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Suresh Raina's Reply To Pak Journalist

Raina though was not in the mood to keep silent or back down and replied that even though he is not the brand ambassador of the competition, he has the 2011 World Cup at home and very cunningly referred to Pakistan's loss in the semifinal to India at Mohali in that World Cup.

The banter between the players and the journalists of the two nations is not new, and with the T20 World Cup game on 9th of June at New York coming closer, the rivalry is set to get intensify in the upcoming days.
