The much-awaited T20 World Cup 2024 is set to start on 2nd of June and one of the most high-profile game of the tournament will be between India and Pakistan on 9th of June. 

The game will be played in New York, and as per the founder and the first chairman of IPL, Lalit Modi the ICC is exploiting the situation and is charging $20,000 (16.6 Lakh) for a Diamond club seat.

Modi blasted ICC for hampering the promotion of the game, and added that the whole motive of bringing the World Cup to USA was to promote the game, and that is being hampered by such hefty prices.

In the past too, India-Pakistan games have seen prices booming because of high demands and there have been various cases of tickets being sold at prices more than 10 times the original cost.

India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2013, and that has created more hype around the matches whenever two nations go head-to-head in ICC events or in Asia Cup.

In the 2022 edition, India managed to beat Pakistan in a thrilling encounter at MCG, and this time around too, we can expect a similar atmosphere and quality of cricket as both teams hope to go full distance after the disappointment of 50-over World Cup in India.
