It's almost time for the third Test match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After a humiliating defeat in the Adelaide Test, Team India is all set to face Pat Cummins’ Australia at Brisbane. Before stepping into the match, Team India's enthusiastic fielding session grabbed the attention.
After a massive 10-wicket defeat in the Adelaide Test, Team India is on their way to rebound confidence. Before facing the mighty Aussies, Rohit Sharma and Co. are sweating hard in the nets. But Team India’s special fielding practice under fielding coach T. Dilip’s guidance sparked attention.
What Was T. Dilip’s Special Fielding Drill For Team India?
Before stepping into the third Test match of the series, Team India is aiming hard to bounce back. Ahead of the Gabba Test, Team India stars were seen engaging in a fun fielding drill under T. Dillip’s supervision.
As Team India arrived at the stadium for practice, fielding coach T. Dilip divided the squad into three teams. The fielding coach explained that each team needed to reach six targets in the assigned 18 balls. If the ball hits the stump, it will be removed.
In the entire session, the Indian players were shown up in great enthusiasm. After the Indian skipper missed his target, Harshit Rana successfully hit the stump. Mohammed Siraj grabbed attention with a successful hit.
Sarfaraz Khan made his special appearance with both groups. Soon, the fun contest within the team caught laughter as the first and the third teams argued after the coach declared the second team as the winner. Within the entire process, the cricketers’ fun banter delighted the fans.
The ‘Gabba’ Challenge Will Not Be Easy For Team India
In the second Test in Adelaide, Team India struggled with their batting unit. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul failed to make an impact in the opening roles. Virat Kohli’s struggle continued. After changing his batting position, Rohit Sharma struggled to bat in the middle order. Rishabh Pant lost his wickets early.
The bowling unit had a horrible outing in Adelaide. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, the other bowlers struggled in front of the Aussie brilliance. Ashwin and Harshit Rana had a forgettable game. As the Australian side has some impressive record at this venue. It will be hard for the visitors to dethrone the Aussies from their ‘Gabba Fort’ again.
