On December 13, India captain Rohit Sharma and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary in a heartfelt manner. Ritika took to social media today to share a tribute, calling Rohit the 'best dad, best husband, best friend.'

How Did Ritika And Rohit Meet?

Ritika Sajdeh worked as a sports event manager, and is also the rakhi sister of cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Rohit Sharma met Ritika Sajdeh during an Ad shoot, where Yuvraj cautioned him to keep a safe distance from her. Initially, Rohit was not particularly fond of Ritika, but as they got to know each other better, their relationship evolved and they eventually started dating.

After dating for six years, Rohit Sharma wanted to surprise his love of life Ritika with a memorable proposal. He chose the Borivali Sports Club in Mumbai, the very place where he started his sports career at the age of 11.

On that special day, Rohit got down on one knee, holding a sparkling solitaire ring. With a mix of excitement and joy, he asked Ritika to marry him. Her radiant smile and  'yes' filled the air with happiness.

Later, he shared a photo of their special moment on with the heartfelt caption: 

“From best friends to soulmates, couldn't get any better.”

On June 3, 2015, Rohit Sharma embarked on a new chapter in his life as he got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Ritika Sajdeh. Following the engagement announcement, Rohit graciously hosted a lavish engagement party that showcased their love and commitment. 

The ring exchange ceremony took place at the iconic Borivali Sports Complex in Mumbai, a location that resonated with the couple's shared passions for sports and community.

Rohit Sharma and his long-time partner Ritika Sajdeh exchanged vows on December 13, 2015, in an extravagant wedding ceremony. The celebration, held at the luxurious Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai, was not just a wedding, but an unforgettable spectacle that brought together the brightest stars from both the cricketing and film industries.

Rohit and Ritika welcomed their first baby girl, Samaira, on December 30, 2018, after three years of marriage. The couple announced her name on Instagram on January 6, 2019. And recently, the adorable couple welcomed their son on November 15, 2024. 

Ritika shared a heartwarming family picture adorned with a festive Christmas theme. In the picture, she affectionately referred to their daughter as 'Sammy. The son was introduced with the name 'Ahaan.' Rohit and Ritika called themselves 'Bo' and 'Bits.'
