Skipper Billings will shoulder the middle-order batting alongside Donovan Ferreira, while the Curran brothers will be their allrounders. 

Oval's bowling unit looks ruthless, studded with Gus Atkinson and Adam Zampa alongside Spencer Johnson, who had a fantastic last season. 

However, if Atkinson misses out due to national commitment, Saqib Mahmood might play this match.

On the other hand, Birmingham Phoenix had a forgettable journey in the tournament last year, finishing sixth on the points table with only two wins in eight matches. 

Although the Phoenix have an allrounder-heavy team, they will probably miss the services of Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes and Jamie Smith, who are with the national side for the ongoing Test series against West Indies. 

In their absence, the onus will be on Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Benny Howell and James Fuller to help Birmingham put up an impressive performance in this match.
