The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 tournament is set to begin on November 14, with the India A team ready to play their curtain raiser match against the United Arab Emirates at Doha. The Indian team, led by a supple Jitesh Sharma and consisting of several youngsters that showed promise in recent years, packs the punch after winning the inaugural edition of the Emerging Stars Asia Cup in 2013.

While it has been 12 years since India managed to account for another trophy in this revamped T20 tournament, the young firepower this season might lead to something fruitful for the Men in Blue. Ahead of the series opener, here are a few of the Indian stars who could be worth a watch in the series.

1) Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Vaibhav Suryavanshi became a household name after the IPL 2025 season. The young prodigy, who was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL mega auction 2025, made the fastest century by an Indian in just 35 balls.

However, the 14-year-old, even before his IPL fame, was popular for his massive success in domestic cricket. For his home state Bihar, Suryavanshi scored a 58-ball century in the Ranji Trophy.

2) Priyansh Arya

Priyansh Arya is another name that emerged in IPL 2025. The uncapped, explosive left-handed batter for Punjab Kings also broke many milestones in his debut season. Arya became the fastest uncapped player to score a century, reaching the mark in just 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings.

The 24-year-old gained attention for his stellar performance in the inaugural Delhi Premier League 2024 season, where he was the top run-scorer, bagging 576 runs from 8 innings.

3) Suyash Sharma

Interestingly, Suyash, before his IPL debut, hadn’t played professional first-class or league cricket and had also faced rejections in the Under-19 trials. His journey to the IPL was more of a statement from the young boy who is ready to prove his hunger and desire in the upcoming Asia Cup tourney as well.

Other players who could make an impact

  • Another notable mentions in the India squad who can make an impact in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament are Harsh Dubey and Abhishek Porel. Harsh Dubey had a historic Ranji Trophy performance in the 2024-25 season, where he took an impressive 69 wickets for Vidarbha, which is also the most wickets in a single Ranji Trophy season.
  • Speaking of Abhishek Porel, the 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter might also shine in the upcoming event, as he has the grit to prove his explosive power with the bat, as he did with Delhi Capitals in 2023. Especially in a format like T20, with wicketkeeping skills in his arsenal, he can be a solid replacement if skipper Jitesh Sharma has to miss out on a couple of games in the tournament.
