Bollywood actress and Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill has finally reacted to the long-standing social media rumours that she is related to Shubman Gill. The speculation began simply because both share the same surname 'Gill' and hail from the Punjab. Many fans believed that they both are siblings.

Appearing on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Shehnaaz was directly asked about her supposed family connection with the star batter. Staying true to her fun and witty persona, Shehnaaz gave a light-hearted reply.

She laughed off the rumour, and said about Shubman Gill- 

"He must be my brother. He's probably from that side, maybe from our side, from the Amritsar side. So when he trends, my trend also runs in between. It's true, there must be some connection of brother and sister," said Shehnaaz.

Shehnaaz also took a moment during the podcast to compliment the cricketer and said -

"I asked myself, and this is the answer I got-that we belong to the same side. So yes, there must be some connection. That's good. He's playing well. Yes, and he's very lovely (bohot pyara hai)," she added.

It is important to mention that her response was funny, as she indirectly confirmed her relation as 'brother-sister' because of their shared Punjabi roots. Fans quickly flooded social media with clips of her comments and praised her for her charm and honesty. 

Currently, Shehnaaz is busy promoting her latest film, "Ikk Kudi", where her performance has been well-received by audiences. It is worth noting that Shehnaaz gained the limelight when she was part of the famous reality show Bigg Boss season 13. 

The star actress has also worked in many movies like Sat Shri Akaal England and Honsla Rakh. Her Hindi films include Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Thank You for Coming.
