Team India secured yet another dominant win over Sri Lanka in the second T20I at the Pallekele. In a one-sided contest, Suryakumar Yadav's men were at their imperial best, winning the game by 7-wickets.

Possible combinations for final T20I

With that victory, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, making the third game a dead-rubber. With the series already in the bag, the Gautam Gambhir-Suryakumar Yadav duo could be tempted to try a couple of other players for the final match.

The top-order will remain the same, and with the series done and dusted, India shouldn't risk Shubman Gill, and should allow him to recover from a neck spasm, which ruled him out of the second T20I.

Which means, Rishabh Pant will bat at number 3, followed by Suryakumar Yadav. However, one possible change that the new regime can make is giving rest to Hardik Pandya and trying out Shivam Dube in his place. Dube, performed well in the T20 World Cup, but couldn't get into the playing XI in the first couple of matches.

The bowling core will also remain the same, barring one tempting change. Mohammed Siraj has been below par in the first two T20Is. He looked out of rhythm, and as a result, the Indian team management will like to try out Khaleel Ahmed in his place. The left-arm pacer did well during the Zimbabwe tour and will be a welcome edition in the playing XI.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav (c), Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Khaleel Ahmed.

The third T20I will take place on Tuesday, and it will followed by 3-match ODI series, commencing on August 2.
