The much-anticipated Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka clash in Match 15 of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 will take place at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Saturday, June 8, 2024. 

Bangladesh is looking to start their campaign on a strong note, despite struggling in the USA so far. They recently lost a T20I series to the USA and suffered a heavy defeat to India in a warm-up match in New York.

Bangladesh squad boasts a wealth of experience, particularly with their all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, and Mahmudullah Riyadh, who provide depth and versatility.

Bangladesh will likely open their batting with Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar at the top. In the middle order to balance the team and provide the required momentum, the team will go with the experience of Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto. 

The key player to watch for Bangladesh will be Shakib Al Hasan, despite the Bangladeshi all-rounder is not in the best of his form but the experience he brings in is important for the team. 

Bangladesh's bowling attack is diverse and potent, featuring Rishad Hossain's leg spin, Mustafizur Rahman's death-over expertise with his cutters and slower balls, and the new ball prowess of Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed. 

However, their in-form bowler Shoriful Islam has injured his hand, casting doubt on his availability. If the bowler is not available for the match against Sri Lanka, Tanzim Hasan Sakib might make a place in the playing XI.
