In the warm-up game between India and Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, India won the toss and opted to bat first. 

Rohit Sharma announced that Virat Kohli will be missing out the warm-up game. Whereas, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto announced that Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman will be sitting this one out.

A really beautiful day in New York. It’s a morning start. So, it will be a factor here. The crowd is in as well. It’s a drop-in pitch but a good one. It has got a good covering of the grass and throughout the 40 overs, the ball will come nicely onto the bat. It’s a decent hit on either sides. But, it’s a practice match and it will be about getting the feel. I feel 180-190 is a par score here.

Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "We will bat first. No particular reason. New conditions here so I thought looks a little challenging. We want a challenge upfront and see how it goes. Not sure, Virat has just arrived yesterday so he is missing out but the rest are available. As the game goes we will see how to use them.

We've arrived here quite early. I don't think the body clock is an issue. Conditions are new for us so we are trying to understand what we need to do as a team."

Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "I would have liked to bowl first. Because we don't know the conditions, I want to see how it behaves and want to know how the bowlers bowl. We wanted to know the information and the boys have prepared really well for this clash.

At this moment, we are going with 13 players. Taskin and Mustafizur will miss out today."
