After an embarrassing series defeat in the USA with a game to spare, Bangladesh will take the field for one last time against Monank Patel and his boys on Saturday (May 25) in the third and final T20I of the series at Prairie View Cricket Complex, Houston. The first two fixtures took place here only, in which the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side were embarrassed by losing by five wickets and six runs, respectively.

Bangladesh have received plenty of criticism ever since they lost the series opener. They were nowhere near a side that can dominate well-weakly on paper, the USA side. Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been failing to live up to his lofty expectations, leaving his side in tatters not once but twice.

So, what should Bangladesh do in this dead rubber? Very simple, they should ask their out-of-form players to have a go before focus shifts to T20 World Cup 2024. 

Litton Das is one such individual, who has been constantly failing at the top of the order. Had Litton not picked in the World Cup squad, he could have ignored. 

However, with Litton in the squad, you could expect him to get another chance. Mind you, if he succeeds, that would be a major boost for Bangladesh before the showpiece event begins. Even Shakib, who has been continuously playing for Bangladesh lately, could take a rest, as the damage has already been done in this series, and you can't help at this point.
