It's all set for an intense finish as South Africa and India lock horns in the fourth and final T20I at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday, November 15. With India leading the series 2-1, the Proteas are out to even the score, while India will look to wrap things up with a series win.

South Africa

South Africa's bowlers had a rough outing in the last game. Gerald Coetzee ended up leaking 51 runs in just three overs without a wicket to show for it. Lutho Sipamla and Andile Simelane were costly as well, although Simelane did manage to grab two wickets alongside Keshav Maharaj. The real highlight for SA’s bowling was Marco Jansen, who shined with figures of 1/28 in his four overs.

With the bat, SA's openers Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks showed some early promise, but both couldn’t stick around for long. Captain Aiden Markram looked dangerous, hammering 28 off 19 balls before Varun Chakravarthy cut his innings short. David Miller and Tristan Stubbs seemed sluggish, unable to up the ante.

Heinrich Klaasen, however, was in attacking mode with a quickfire 41 off 22 balls, but it was Marco Jansen who almost pulled off the impossible, scoring a stunning 54 off just 17 balls, hitting four fours and five massive sixes. Despite his efforts, SA fell short, and they'll be hoping for a more complete team effort to keep India in check this time.

India

For India, this T20I will be their last of the year, and they’ll want to close it out on a high. They set the stage in the last game, putting up a massive 219/6, thanks to Tilak Varma’s blistering 107 off 56 balls, which featured eight fours and seven sixes. Abhishek Sharma also found form, smashing 50 off 25 balls.

However, the usually reliable Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya struggled yet again, and both will look to get back in rhythm. Sanju Samson, who started the series with a ton, has had two consecutive ducks since, so he’ll be hoping for a comeback too.

On the bowling front, Arshdeep Singh was the standout with 3/37. Varun Chakravarthy, who has troubled the South African lineup in the series, picked up two more wickets, though he conceded 54 runs. Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel kept things tight, but death bowling remains an area for India to work on as they aim to clinch the series.
