The ongoing West Indies vs England T20 series has been full of some sensational performances. England is leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two games with eight and seven-wicket respectively.

But West Indies will be up and ready and will be fighting hard to make a comeback in this five-match series. Heading into the WI vs ENG 3rd T20I in St. Lucia, here’s a look at three players to watch out for.

3. Will Jacks

Will Jacks has shown promise with his explosive style, but he’s struggled to really make a mark so far. He scored 17 off 10 balls in the first game and followed up with 28 off 29 balls in the second – starts, but nothing he could turn into a big score.

England is backing his power, with Jos Buttler even dropping down the order to let Jacks play his natural game. A solid performance here could cement his spot, especially with the Champions Trophy coming up. If Jacks finds his timing, his aggressive approach could spell trouble for the West Indies.

2. Rovman Powell

Rovman Powell has shown glimpses of his powerful hitting, but he hasn’t managed to convert those starts into big scores yet. He scored a promising 43 in the last match, but if Powell can up his scoring rate, he’ll be a serious threat.

West Indies needs him, especially in those final overs to add some quick runs. Powell’s ability to hit big will be vital if West Indies is to set a competitive total or chase down whatever England puts on the board. If he finds his groove, England’s bowlers could have their work cut out.

1. Phil Salt

Phil Salt has been on fire in this series. His aggressive style at the top has been a massive plus for England. Salt’s incredible century in the first match (103 off 54 balls, including nine fours and six sixes) was a performance to remember.

Even though he went out for a golden duck in the second game, Salt’s confidence and hard-hitting make him a key player to watch. If he gets going early, England could find themselves in a strong position again. Quick runs from him are crucial, especially with the bounce in these pitches that suit his style.
