MICT vs PC: Match 30 Preview

MI Cape Town

Rashid Khan's MI Cape Town have been magnificent in the competition, with six wins from nine matches, accumulating 30 essential points even when one of their games was abandoned due to rain. They are coming off an easy victory against Pretoria Capitals as they defeated them by a margin of 27 runs at Centurion. MI batted first and thwacked a gigantic total of 222 on the board, where Reeza Hendricks and Dewald Brevis took the honours with blistering unbeaten knocks of 77 and 73 runs, respectively.

Bowlers except for Rashid Khan (2/25) struggled as the pitch was highly batting-supportive, with sixes flowing easily. Despite runs leaking, MI bowlers kept the run rate in check as they didn't let the opposition score anything more than 195 after the conclusion of 20 overs. Corbin Bosch gave away 40 runs but bagged two wickets too. Meanwhile, MI have already qualified for the playoffs as they are slated to face Paarl Royals in Qualifier 1.

Pretoria Capitals

On the other hand, a disappointing campaign is about to end for Pretoria Capitals, originally captained by Rilee Rossouw, have only been able to win two matches in the tournament from nine games where they have lost five. Although, they have earned two crucial bonus points and have 14 points in total, unfortunately, that won't be enough to take them through, as they would have required four wins atleast, which won't be possible at all.

Against MI Cape Town, their bowlers went for runs except Will Jacks, who was highly economical with 22 runs in four overs but remained wicketless. Otherwise, Tom Rogers, Migael Pretorius and Gideon Peters were as expensive as anything as they leaked runs at an economy of over 10. From the batters, Will Smeed (52), Will Jacks (39) and Keagan Lion Cachet (34*) went after the score but failed to push their side over the line.

MICT vs PC: Weather And Pitch Report

Weather

Sunday in Cape Town is expected to be sunny, with temperatures ranging from 17 to 23 degrees, whereas, by the time of writing, there were no chances of precipitation. Humidity will be around 73%, while wind will blow at a speed of around 23 kmph. With clear skies, the match will likely go on uninterrupted.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town has majorly favoured the batters, with an average run rate of 8.33 this season across four matches. There might be seam movement for the pacers early on, but that won't make much impact as true bounce and pace of the track will aid batters in playing their shots comfortably. With little spin on offer, it is expected to be a batting paradise where chasing will get easier under lights. Therefore, the team winning the toss will likely bowl first.

MICT vs PC: Probable XIs

MICT vs PC: Fantasy Cricket Tips

MI Cape Town have been in brilliant form, so picking more players from their line-up would make sense. Rassie van der Dussen, Ryan Rickleton, Reeza Hendricks, and Dewald Brevis are must-picks, while Rashid Khan can be considered too.

Will Jacks and Will Smeed have shown promise with the bat for Pretoria, whereas Ashton Turner, before getting run out, was smashing everything in his arc. Senuran Muthusamy has bowled well throughout this tournament and, therefore, shall be preferred.

MICT vs PC: Winner Prediction

Looking at the previous game between these two sides, MI Cape Town were thoroughly dominant, with a comfortable victory over Pretoria Capitals. Hence, they are favourites to win this encounter, too.
