One win away from the prestigious final, Northern Brave (NB) will stride out in the Super Smash 2024/25 Eliminator against Canterbury Kings (CK) on 1st February. The penultimate game of this tournament will be played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, from 8:55 AM IST.

After finishing the group stage with 22 points from 10 matches, Northern Brave were placed second on the table with four wins, whereas three of their games were abandoned due to rain. Led by Jeet Raval, the Brave were thrashed by Canterbury in their last game of the league stage by a margin of 56 runs. Batting first, the Kings put up 175 on the board with seven wickets down after 20 overs. Kristian Clarke picked up two wickets for 20 runs, while Mitchell Santner bagged figures of 2/29 in his four overs.

From the batters, no one really stood up for Brave, who could only manage 119/9, with Raval's 20 being the highest side from their side. Meanwhile, Matthew Boyle (66) and Daryl Mitchell (67) were the star performers with the bat for Canterbury. While from the bowlers, Kings' skipper Cole McConchie was the standout with outstanding figures of 4/31 (4). On the tally, Canterbury finished on third place with 18 points from 10 games, while having four wins, five losses and one abandoned game.
