India had a brilliant practice session against the Prime Minister's XI in the ODI match where the Rohit Sharma led side defeated the opposition with utmost ease. The Pink-ball match provided the visitors a great chance to get used to testing conditions they'll face in Adelaide.

However, the day-night second Test match won't be an easy affair as Australia will be gunning for a win and interestingly they have never lost a Pink-ball match. The task gets difficult for Inia, but they will be happy with the arrival of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who missed the first Test in Perth.

Ahead of the second Test, India needs to make a couple of important decisions as they embark to end Australia's dominance in Pink-ball matches. We look at their probable XI based on what happened in the warm-up match.

KL-Jaiswal to open, Gill at 3

The opening pair of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal did exteremly well in the Perth Test, adding 201 runs for the opening wicket in the second innings. The duo also opened in the Pink-Ball match against Prime Minister's XI and it seems this is the opening combination set for the rest of the series. In the practice match, Gill came out to bat at his usual number 3 spot and he'll replace the struggling Devdutt Padikkal at the position.

Rohit, as Jurel makes way for him

The number 4 spot is already booked for Virat Kohli and with Rohit struggling at the top of the order, he could bat at number 5. In the practice match, he came to bat at 4, which is a sign that maybe he is planning to play down the order to negate the swing from the Australian bowlers.

That would mean Dhruv Jurel makes way for the India skipper as the team needs to bring in experience in the middle order. Rishabh Pant will bat at 6 and Nitish Kumar will follow him at 7.

Bowling unit remains the same for Adelaide Test

India's bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc in Perth and as a result, there is no need to change the attack. Washington Sundar will be the lone spinner and the trio of Bumrah, Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj will have the responsibility to take down the Aussie batters.
