In a remarkable achievement, Gujarat Giants Women have recorded the highest total in the ongoing Women's Premier League season. 

Riding on exceptional knocks from skipper Beth Mooney and her opening partner Laura Wolvaardt, the Giants posted a mammoth 199-run total, the highest in this tournament. 

The Giants' 199-run total is overall the fifth highest in the tournament's history. Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals hold the record for the highest-ever team score of 223/2, which they posted against the same opponent in the inaugural season.

After winning the toss, Gujarat Giants opted to bat on Delhi's batting-friendly surface. The decision proved to be a masterstroke, as Beth Mooney and Laura Wolvaardt took on the RCB bowlers to form a solid foundation for a huge score. 

Mooney and Wolvaardt brought up scintillating fifties in this process, contributing 76 and 85* runs, respectively. Their scintillating performance powered the Giants to a formidable score, helping them claim the driving seat in the high-voltage affair. 

In response, RCB have had a cautious start, placed at six for no loss, with Smriti Mandhana and S Meghana batting in the middle.
