Veteran Pakistan batter Sarfaraz Ahmed had a forgettable outing in Quetta Gladiators' ongoing PSL 2024 clash against Karachi Kings as he was run out for seven.

Sarfaraz joined skipper Rilee Rossouw in the middle after Hasan Ali dismissed Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay in a single over. However, he couldn't bring any difference to Quetta's fate, being run out in the twelfth over.

Bowling the twelfth over of the Gladiators' innings, Karachi's Blessing Muzarabani bowled a short-of-the-length delivery, which Sarfaraz played with soft hands in the off side.

As the backward point fielder was slightly square and closer to the 30-yard circle, the veteran cricketer called his partner for a risky single.

However, his decision to steal a run proved fatal for Sarfaraz, as he was left stranded in the middle of the pitch following a horrible mixup with Rossouw.

The Kings' fielders grabbed the opportunity with both hands, running the batter out at the non-strikers' end.

Riding on the bowlers' stupendous performance, Karachi Kings are in a commanding position in the match, reducing the Gladiators to 101 for seven in 15.4 overs as of writing. With Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Hasnain batting, their chance of posting a competitive score looks bleak.
