Continuing with his brilliance, United States' quick Saurabh Netravalkar partnered up with his team-mate Corey Anderson to dismiss Rezza Hendricks and provide South Africa with its first blow during the T20 World Cup 2024 game at Sir Viv Richards Stadium.

The Proteas openers' poor run continued as he departed for a low score of 11 runs off 11 balls.

In the third over, Netravalkar bowled a good-length delivery on-off. Hendricks charged down the track and looked to lift it straight down the ground; however, he ended up miscuing it completely. He skied it in the off-side. Anderson came from the mid-off, moved forward and took a splendid catch.

With this, Netravalkar once again drew first blood; Hendricks looked distraught on his way back to the pavilion. The ball was hanging in the air for a long time, and Anderson did great work holding onto it with the breeze coming into play.

At the time of writing, South Africa might have lost a wicket, but Quinton de Kock has made sure that the US pays the price. He just smashed Jasdeep Singh for 22 runs in the fourth over. They are at 45/1, with Quinny and skipper Aiden Markram out in the middle.
