Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who lost by 20 runs in their IPL 2024 opener against Rajasthan Royals (RR), will look to get their first win of the season when they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday in Match 11 of the ongoing edition at Ekana Cricket Stadium.
LSG have plenty of areas to worry about, and among them, the biggest is where KL Rahul bats. There have been emerging reports that Rahul would bat in the middle order to stay in contention in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
However, it didn’t happen in the opening game, as Rahul probably decided to open alongside Quinton de Kock after watching a massive total to chase.
LSG made a surprising move, with Rahul himself keeping behind the stumps despite having Quinton de Kock and Nicholas Pooran in the playing XI. It is expected to continue, as Rahul, competing for a place in the T20 World Cup, will don the big gloves again.
Among the others, there are little chances of LSG making any changes in their playing XI. The Justin Langer-led think tank will give another go to each and every individual, which means everyone who was involved in the Rajasthan fixture, including the impact-sub Deepak Hooda, will get one more opportunity, if not more, to shine.
