On Friday, Pakistan will take on Australia in the second One-Day International of the ongoing three-match series. The much-anticipated encounter will be played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, Australia. As usual, the focus will be on Babar Azam as Pakistan aim to secure a win and stay alive in the series.

Under Mohammad Rizwan's leadership, Pakistan had a poor start to the series, incurring a two-wicket defeat in the opening clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Despite having an off day with the bat, the visitors gave Australia a run for their money with the ball. However, they couldn't defend the 203-run total, with Pat Cummins guiding the home side to a thrilling win with his unbeaten cameo of 32 runs.

Regarding Babar Azam, the experienced batter looked rock-solid during his stay in the first ODI. However, he couldn't convert his start into a significant score, with Adam Zampa castling him with a brilliant delivery. Before getting out, Babar struck 37 runs with the help of four glorious boundaries.

Meanwhile, Babar has a great record in Adelaide Oval and could be Pakistan's go-to man with the bat in the second ODI. The stylish right-hander is the only Pakistani batter with an ODI century against Australia at this venue. In 2017, he punished the home side with a fantastic century, glittered with seven fours and a six.

Overall, Babar has 205 runs in Adelaide across formats, with the remaining 105 runs coming in Test cricket. Thus, he has enjoyed batting at the venue and might be Pakistan's wrecker-in-chief in the upcoming face-off.
