Tilak Varma produced a breath-taking knock in the second T20I Vs England to steal the show and win the game for his side. At one point, India were in a spot of bother, as they lost a flurry of wickets, however, it was Tilak, who calmed things down and steered India past the winning line on a tricky surface as the hosts took a 2-0 lead in the series.

He showed grit and determination and was at his absolute best as India won a nervy contest and snatched the win from jaws of defeat. Tilak, is still young and is not only a backbone for the Indian batting lineup, but is also crucial for his IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians.

3) Tilak has been Mumbai's best player for the last 3 seasons

He scored twin centuries in the T20Is Vs South Africa and played arguably his best T20I innings Vs England on Saturday night. He is the man in form for Mumbai and the franchise would expect him to continue the run-scoring form in IPL 2025 as well.
