The first Test match between Bangladesh and West Indies is turning out to be quite productive for the Men from Caribbean. They first posted a solid score of 450 while batting first and then Bangladesh could score just 269 in reply. West Indies faltered with the bat in the second outing, but Windies bowlers have done a brilliant job again and now with one final day to go, the home team need just three wickets to win the Test match.

It was only Mehidy Hasan Miraz who displayed some fight with the bat. He scored 45 off 46 balls and was looking in good touch. However, a stunning catch by Joshua Da Silva ended his stint and it turned it was the final nail in the coffin. Jayden Seales was the bowler and he bowled a good-length delivery, outside off. Mehidy Hasan Miraz poked it tentatively, and the ball caught the outside edge of his blade.

Bangladesh On Verge Of Defeat After Another Batting Failure

It was going straight to first slip. However, Joshua Da Silva, the wicketkeeper wit his gloves on, dived full-length to his right and grabbed a catch for the ages. It was a crucial wicket for West Indies and the roars and celebration after the catch showed what it meant to the home team.

In the second innings, both Jayden Seales and Kemar Roach picked three wickets apiece while Shamar Joseph picked one wicket. With the bat, it was the century from Justin Greaves that set the platform for a big score while with the ball, Alzarri Joseph picked three wickets in the first innings. Overall, Windies look set for a victory in the first Test and with Bangladesh still needing 225 runs to win and Jaker Ali, the only recognised batter in the middle.
