Los Angeles Knight Riders 

LAKR entered last season as one of the favourites but ended up at the bottom of the points table with just one win, a disappointing performance given their potential. They have made significant changes ahead of the new season and are aiming for a strong start.

The addition of Jason Roy strengthens their top-order batting, where he is expected to partner skipper Sunil Narine, who impressed in IPL 2024. In the middle order, Alex Carey, David Miller, and Shakib Al Hasan bring considerable firepower and will be key contributors. 

Andre Russell is their designated finisher, forming a formidable trio with Narine and Shakib, posing a threat that opponents like TSK need to be cautious of.

One area of concern for LAKR is their fast bowling resources. Ali Khan, their main pace bowler, struggled for form in the recent T20 World Cup. 

LAKR will rely on their spin options, including Adam Zampa and Waqar Salamkheil, to make up for the lack of depth in their fast bowling department.
