Mitchell Marsh- (Source:@Johns/X.com)
On Friday, January 31, Australia dealt a heavy blow after Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of Champions Trophy 2025 because of a lower-back issue that has troubled him for a long time. The injury has also put Lucknow Super Giants' sweat in a panic, as Marsh is also doubtful about the upcoming edition of IPL.
Notably, the LSG bought Marsh for 2.80 crores. Now with the Australian all-rounder in doubt for the upcoming edition, this article will shed light on three potential replacements for injured Marsh in IPL 2025.
1. Corbin Bosch
South Africa's star all-rounder is in the form of his life as he is doing wonders with the ball and also making his bat talk for the Proteas also in the ongoing SA20 2025.
Bosch featured in Tests against Pakistan and played an 81-run knock with the bat. He further took five wickets in two innings. Also, Bosch is doing exceptionally well in SA20 as he has six wickets to his name in four matches.
2. Cooper Connolly
Talking about Connolly, the Australia all-rounder registered himself for the auction for 75 lakhs but found no bidders. However, he made IPL franchises regret their decision after he was the stand-out player in the recently concluded BBL.
He amassed 351 runs in 10 innings, which featured 2 fifty-plus scores and also averaged 50. Cooper also made the ball talk and took six wickets in the tournament which also earned him an Australia call-up.
3. Sikandar Raza
The third like-to-like replacement for Marsh for LSG can be Sikandar Raza. Raza, who was earlier part of Punjab Kings, went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Raza, who is featuring in ILT20, has 127 runs in the tournament and also five wickets to his name.
He is not in his finest form, but can be a strong player in the middle-order, who can shine with the bat and the ball.
