Will Himanshu Sangwan, Who Took Virat Kohli's Wicket In Ranji Trophy, Play IPL 2025?

On Friday, January 31, Virat Kohli hogged the internet after he returned to bat for the first time in domestic cricket after 13 years. The fans turned up in thousands to see their idol play. However, the return was cut-short by Railways bowler Himanshu Sangwan, who got rid of Kohli early on in the innings. 

Virat started his innings positively as he hit Sangwan for a boundary, but the right-arm seamer avenged that shot and bowled a jaffa to get rid of Kohli, who played a 15-ball 6 runs knock. It was a beautiful delivery as Sangwan sent Kohli's off-stump cartwheeling. Sangwan was elated with the delivery and also celebrated in style, following which he drew huge attraction on social media.

While majority of the fans targeted him on social media for getting Virat out, there was another section, who were interested in getting to know Himanshu. It is worth noting that the right-arm seamer works as a Ticket-Collector in Railways. Meanwhile, this article will shed light on will Himanshu Sangwan play IPL 2025? 

Himanshu Sangwan To Play IPL 2025?

It is worth noting that Sangwan had registered for the IPL 2025 mega-auction at a base price of 30 lakhs. Notably, Sangwan was a part of BCCI's initial list of 1576 players. However, no franchise showed interest in him and failed to make the cut in the shortened list of 576 players.

Since, Sangwan failed to get into the auction list, he did not get under the hammer and won't be a part of IPL 2025 that begins from March 21. It is worth noting that the 29-year-old is yet to feature in IPL history.
