The Dambulla Sixers have started off their campaign with a defeat against the Kandy Falcons. Their top order looked disoriented in the game, and it was only for Mark Chapman and Chamidnu Wickramasinghe that they were able to post 179 runs on the board in their 20 overs. 

The team made a good start with the ball, but Dinesh Chandimal kept his composure and gradually took the game away from their grasp. After the dismissal of Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, and Dasun Shanaka played effective cameos and handed over a six-wicket defeat to the Sixers. 

The Mohammad Nabi-led side will be looking to bounce back quickly and turn the tides in their favour in this game. The Sixers need to sort out their top-order batting as Gunathilaka, Kushal Perera, and others need to understand that they need to give their middle-order a foundation to build on.

Jaffna Kings

The Jaffna Kings will be looking to stack up as many wins as possible at the start of their campaign. The team will depend a lot on Charith Asalanka's leadership abilities and all-around skills. Batters like Rilee Rossouw, Pathum Nissanka, Alex Ross and Kusal Mendis need to fire at the top in order to give the team a blazing start. 

In the bowling department, a lot will depend on Omarzai, Behrendorff, and Viyaskanth. Asalanka and the team management will hope that all their departments function together and the Kings get a solid start to their campaign.
